FAQ about Teen Mindset Coaching

What ages do you work with?

While I hope to reach out to teenagers, ages 13–18, through this site, I can tailor my services to meet the needs of clients of any age. I also work with people of all ages in my hypnotherapy practice.

Do you charge for a consultation?

Parents, if you think I might be the right practitioner to support your son or daughter, I invite you to call. I would be happy to answer all of your questions at length, free of charge. After we have had a chance to talk, I would invite you and your teen to meet with me for a free 30-minute consultation at my office. This would give me the opportunity to explain to your teen what mindset coaching is and answer any of his or her questions.

How much do you charge per session?

What form of payment do you accept?

I accept cash and checks made out to Susan Gold.

If you would like to use a credit card to pay for sessions, please let me know in advance. I will send you an email invoice with a link to remit payment through PayPal. Payment should be made before a scheduled appointment. I am not able to process credit cards in my office.

How long are your sessions?

Each session is 90 minutes.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of sessions will vary depending on the number of issues the teen would like to work on, their desired outcomes, determination, and readiness for change. While many clients begin to experience positive results after only one session, I find that most benefit from four to eight sessions per issue.

Do you accept insurance?

In general, insurance companies do not like to cover coaching services; however, with advance notice, I will issue a receipt so that you may bill your insurance.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life is unpredictable, and I respect that a client may need to cancel or reschedule his or her appointment; however, I do require 24-hours notice. If sufficient notice is not give, I will need to charge for the session. Emergencies are an exception.
